My name is António Batista
Hi, I’m António Batista (widely known by my moniker "Art Batis").
I am a Creative Graphic Designer, Digital Illustrator, and Digital Art Generalist with extensive experience in Prepress. My background spans from comprehensive graphic design and layout to motion graphics for social media and web design.
A pioneer in the field, I authored the first book on Digital Art in Portugal, covering illustration techniques and professional career guidance. I was also a key contributor to Advanced Photoshop PT and APS Digital Art, the first Portuguese publications dedicated to the digital arts.
My creative passion lies at the intersection of photo composite, digital painting, infographics, and communication design, while always maintaining a strong connection to the traditional arts.
Over the years, I have specialized in high-end photo manipulation and image processing for magazines such as Vogue, GQ, Máxima, Flash, and TVGuia. My design and illustration portfolio includes work for major brands and national media outlets, including TV CMtv, Correio da Manhã Newspaper, and Record Newspaper.
My recent focus has shifted towards major national and international projects, including music festivals, sporting events, and theme parks. In these contexts, I specialize in 3D map illustration, commercial space branding, social media content, and 3D printing.
